Class Styles Offered at B*Dazzled

Ballet

Ballet fosters musicality, body awareness and movement potential in a format that encourages individual artistry.The knowledge gained in these classes prepares the student for the attention to detail in all dance disciplines. This classic form of dance builds grace, beauty, poise, and strength. Ballet develops correct body placement, enriches mental and physical dexterity and enhances a sense of artistry in both children and teens. B*Dazzled Dancers offers over 4 ballet levels of classes, grouped according to age and ability (beginning through advanced).Research shows that children who begin training with informed creative movement classes are more successful when placed in a traditional technique class. Dancers will learn 1 routine per year to be performed at local shows.


Jazz

Jazz has become one of the most popular dance styles in recent years, mainly due to its popularity on television shows, movies, music videos and commercials. People enjoy watching jazz dancers, as the dancing is fun and energetic. Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases style and originality. Using soul, R&B, jazz, and pop music classes combine many styles and techniques from ballet to contemporary dance. The first half of class consists of exercises which stretch and tone muscles and develop support for proper stress-free alignment of the body.  This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance. Dancers will learn 2 routines per year to be performed at local shows. 


Tap

A dance form indigenous to America that traces its beginnings to African and Irish immigrants. Now enjoying its greatest revival, tap is fun for children and teens alike. Tap classes at the B*Dazzled Dancers are offered at all levels (beginning through advanced) and bring both traditional and innovative styles of tap to students. in the art.Dancers will learn 2 routines per year to be performed at local shows. 


Hip Hop

From R&B and House to Club and Pop, Hip Hop classes utilize upbeat music from various genres, in addition to the latest Hip Hop hits. The resulting outcome is an energetic class that not only teaches you Hip Hop movements and technique, but also instills rhythm and precision in your muscle memory. Hip Hop class provides a structured method of learning various Hip Hop dance movements in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment. Dancers will learn 2 routines per year to be performed at local shows. 


Creative

We are aware of the importance of a child's first experience in dance and we are committed to providing quality instruction for young children. Classes are designed specifically for children ages 3-4yrs, changing focus every 10-15 minutes to hold young dancers attention. Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, Imagination and Tumbling are worked into each class. Dancers will learn 2 routines per year to be performed at local shows. 


Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical/Contemporary is an interpretation of jazz through "poetry" of the body, fusing stylized, yet seamless movements of jazz with the elegance and grace of ballet. Choreography often uses emotion to motivate the movement. At least 1 year prior training recommended for this class.


Tumbling

Dancers will work on flexibility, balance, strength, limbering, and tumbling/acro skills. Simple progressions take the beginner level dancer from log rolls and summersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage! Tumbling class is a non performing class. This class builds their skill set to be able to add bonus tricks in their dance classes.
